Triggered…but hopeful…
It takes 2 to tango does NOT apply to abusive relationships…
It took one abuser to abuse…but YOU didn’t leave…for whatever reason.
And THAT will be your main focus of your healing journey.
I spent @ 2.5 years with a psychopath…took about the same amount of time to deal and heal.
Healing is a life long journey…it’s not like taking an ibuprofen for a headache…poof…it’s gone!
Through this abusive experience it’s hard to not take things personally…since it is literally happening ‘personally’ to YOU!
If YOU are dealing with a malevolent person…you certainly will blame yourself…for many reasons.
For me it took the longest time to stop blaming myself for staying as long as I did and ignoring red flags.
Here’s the truth…
You cannot MAKE a person abusive…you cannot MAKE a person lie, gaslight, sext, cheat, project, deflect, use a cyclical pattern of abuse, or start unnecessary wars…which is also a different shade of abuse.
***We didn’t create the evil in this person…they came prefabricated just like that***
Years later I feel the same triggers with the psychopath-in-chief…
Fear, hopelessness, anger, helplessness ALL those same feelings have come flooding back.
This time I cannot leave or ignore it…it’s ALL around us.
But I can still put my feelings into words.
I am 100% sure anyone who has experienced a narcissist is feeling as triggered as I am.
Feelings are feelings and can be triggered when similar situations show up.
But here is a Universally true perspective that helped me the first time around…
We didn’t create these monsters…they came that way.
There’s millions of them around us…just like cicadas…waiting for the right time to come out…maggots.
The reality of the Epstein files brings ALL that perversion out to life in living colors.
The supporters of the pedophile-in-chief brings ALL that ugliness out to life in living colors.
A ‘regular normal’ mind will absolutely NOT be capable of looking past the fact that this person abuses women and children.
He is abusing women right in front of the whole world.
And ALL the morally bankrupt people can ignore and look past that fact!
